It’s never too late to be what you might have been

Angelique Hillendahl, MA, LPC

So no one told you life was going to be this way? Are you feeling lost and unsure of how to get to the next step, of how to find happiness? Then you are exactly the kind of person I work with. I enjoy working with people one on one as well as helping couples navigate relationship challenges.

I work with a broad range of issues including depression, anxiety, stress management, life transitions, infertility counseling, toxic relationships and sexual dysfunction.

In addition, I enjoy helping couples navigate the relationships ups and downs, including ending the relationship.

I’ve learned that no two situations are exactly the same and therefore my counseling style reflects this personal awareness.

My counseling style is mostly talk therapy. What this means is I use my training and expertise to help guide you through the process of achieving your goals. Occasionally I may make referrals and coordinate care with other professionals/doctors if I believe your situation warrants a referral.

Many clients wish to know some personal details about their therapist before beginning counseling. I received my graduate degree from the University of Houston Victoria and I’ve been working as a counselor for several years.

I am a wife, a mom, a teacher and a therapist. In addition to counseling, I work as a part time professor for San Jacinto College where I teach psychology classes.

I also am an active member in a Christian church and use my faith to guide me on a daily basis. However, in the counseling room with my clients I respect their wishes and beliefs.
